Façade design with metal and colour

Colours breathe life into metal façades

1. Design flexibility & colour diversity

Projekt reference: Spar Pottendorf (2014)

Powder coatings available in almost any RAL-colour give architects unlimited creative opportunities – and they allow the exact implementation of corporate designs. At Spar Pottendorf the company’s logo colour – green – was used to create a dynamic landscape of “mountains and valleys” with coloured expanded metal. Its appearance changes depending on the light.

2. Emotional effect

Colours have a direct effect on our perception: they appear warm or cool, calming or stimulating. Used purposefully, they make buildings stand out or blend harmoniously into their environment. In Klagenfurt, the rust-coloured expanded-metal-façade at Kaerntnerei attracts attention even from a distance and provides the building with an inviting look.

3. Sustainability & protection

Projekt reference: PlusCity, Pasching (2016)

Powder coatings withstand weather conditions and UV-radiation – colours are retained, surfaces are protected and buildings remain attractive for a long time, as seen in the interaction of colours and shapes at PlusCity Linz: architecture that makes a lasting impression.
